Paul Celan Fellowships for Translators
2010/2011 – Call for Applications.
Paul Celan Visiting Fellows are invited to spend 3-6 months at the IWM between July 2010 and June 2011 to pursue their translation projects while working in residence at the Institute. They receive a stipend to cover all expenses related to their stay in Vienna. The IWM provides a personal office with internet and e-mail access, in-house research facilities and other relevant sources in Vienna. Visiting Fellows participate in the scholarly community and activities of the IWM.
Application
Your application (in English or German) consists of
* the application form (you can download it here)
* a curriculum vitae
* the name of the author and the work to be translated (from the original language)
* the exact number of pages
* a contract with a publisher
* proof that the translator/publisher holds the rights to the translation and its publication
* the planned date of publication
* the program of the publishing house
