On June 17-July 1, the 14th "Summer MEDIA Study" international project took place in Juodkrantė village, which is a part of Nering city. The event wich traditionally is organized by Lithunian Music and Theater Academy, convened over 70 participants representing more than 30 schools with audiovisual study programs from 15 EU member states. The two week long intensive workshop commenced with presenting and defending the ideas, and climaxed with 12 films produced by international teams.

The motto of the workshop was "Music and Sound in Movies" It stimulated the Project participants to devote particular attention to the importance inputs by sound engineers and composers into the movies. It happenned so, that composers were producing the first soundtracks in parallel with the script. The outcome of this unconventional arrangement manifestated in the movies produced: the soundtracks were meticulously developed and perfectly metched the overall dramaturgial atmosphere.
