About The Bologna Children’s Book Fair
The Bologna Children’s Book Fair is the most important international event dedicated to the children’s publishing and multimedia industry.
In Bologna, authors, illustrators, literary agents, TV & Film producers, licensors and licensees, packagers, distributors, printers, booksellers, and librarians meet to:
• sell & buy copyright
• find the very best of children’s publishing and multimedia production
• generate and gather new contacts while strengthening professional relationships
• discover new business opportunities
• discuss and debate the latest sector trends
The exhibitors are publishers, literary agents, packagers, printers, international organizations, TV and Film producers, licensor and licensees, and service companies linked to the publishing world. The Fair is rigorously reserved to professional operators.
Each year, the Bologna Children's Book Fair proposes to all exhibitors and visitors alike, special initiatives that offer excellent opportunities to increase contacts and hone ones’ skills in various sectors of the children’s copyright market.
In 2011 Lithuania will be the Guest of Honour of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair and will present to the world the country’s most talented and promising illustrators of children’s books.
Lithuania’s participation in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania and the International Cultural Programme Centre
